Lucille Naakwaley King, the winner of Miss Malaika 2024, has challenged the claim that wealthy men exploit beauty queens.
In an interview on the Changes episode with Roselyn Felli of Joy Prime, she emphasized that money holds no real value. She expressed her ambition to succeed in pageantry independently, without relying on any man’s financial support. “I know that’s not what interests me, but it might be. My mind is racing right now. Naturally, none of this interests me because I am a good person. No one needs to win me over with money. What is money?” she stated.

Miss Lucille believes God has “amazing” and better plans for her. As a devout Christian, she does not see herself engaging in such practices. She advised aspiring beauty queens to consider personal investments to ensure they are financially prepared before entering the pageantry world. “You can be misled, so make sure you know who you are and remain steadfast in your beliefs and identity,” she added. “Doubt will arise, and God is the only thing that keeps me mentally stable; your spiritual life must be on track.”
Lucille Naakwaley King officially began her reign as Miss Malaika Ghana 2024 on November 16, following an outstanding performance in every assignment she was given.
