Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Hon. Rev. Dr. Kweku Addo, has renewed his commitment to delivering on all campaign promises during the first National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency meeting since his 2025 victory.

Healthcare & Youth Empowerment Take Center Stage

Hon. Addo revealed notable progress on the Gbegbeyise Community Hospital Project, with the procurement of key medical equipment already underway. The facility is expected to commence operations soon, improving access to quality healthcare.

He also announced that over 50 youth are currently undergoing skills training, with each trainee set to receive a $3,000 startup fund to support their entrepreneurial ambitions.

Despite the delay in full decentralization of government funding, the MP assured that strategic plans are being advanced to unlock more resources for job creation and local development.

    Flood Intervention & Sanitation Improvements

The MP highlighted his intervention in the dredging of flood-prone areas, which he credited for the reduced flooding experienced in Dansoman this rainy season.

He emphasized that sanitation remains a key priority, noting that the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) has been tasked with improving waste management systems across the constituency. โ€œCleanliness will be the MCEโ€™s performance benchmark,โ€ he stated.

Campaign Promises: Progress & Upcoming Projects

Hon. Addo reassured constituents that his development agenda for Ablekuma West remains on track. Upcoming projects include:

    • Construction of an Adult Learning and Skills Centre

    • Delivery of all 2025 campaign promises

    • Expansion of youth support and job opportunity programs

โ€œBy the end of President John Dramani Mahamaโ€™s term, everyone will be served,โ€ he affirmed, urging patience, unity, and continued support.

Call for Participation, Unity & Opportunity

The MP encouraged constituents to pursue job openings actively and assured that he would support applications through recommendation letters and lobbying.

He further disclosed that GETFund scholarships will soon be open to qualified applicants from the constituency, increasing access to education.

Additionally, he advised that funeral and social announcements be routed through party structures, promising to honour invitations as part of his community service duties.

National Economic Recovery & the Goldbond Strategy

Hon. Addo commended the Mahama administration for introducing the Goldbond Strategy, calling it a game-changing policy for national economic recovery.

โ€œThis is just one of many strategic policies that will drive Ghanaโ€™s transformation and restore prosperity,โ€ he said.

Kweku Addoย  assures Frequent Engagement & Transparency

In closing, the MP emphasized the need for regular constituency meetings to keep party members informed and involved in ongoing projects.

โ€œThe MPโ€™s job is not an easy one, but I am committed to serving the people of Ablekuma West with all diligence. Let us stay united, and together we will build a better future,โ€ he concluded.
