Stonebwoy Congratulates King Promise, But No Direct Response Yet
Following the awards, Stonebwoy—a two-time AOTY winner and strong 2025 contender—took to X (formerly Twitter) on May 12 to congratulate King Promise:
“Congratulations @IamKingPromise on your win and on your debut entry into the league of AOTY winners. You’re welcome.”
However, during an interview on Hitz FM on May 13, King Promise revealed he had not personally seen the message and offered a reserved response:
“I have received the congrats. I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t really think it’s anything to speak about.”
He explained that while others had informed him of the tweet, he hadn’t been on the app that day and didn’t view the post as a “big deal.”
“This morning, I have not been on X. I’ve been told of it. I just said calm down to the people telling me about it.”
Was There Tension? Or Just Misunderstood?
While fans speculate about potential tension, King Promise made it clear that he responded to congratulatory messages from others he saw on his timeline. His tone during the interview seemed more casual than confrontational, suggesting that there’s likely no bad blood.
The interaction has sparked online discussion about artiste camaraderie, social media etiquette, and how stars handle public goodwill messages.
