CHRAJ Clears Rev. Kusi-Boateng of Multiple Identity and Financial Misconduct Allegations
The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has dismissed allegations against Reverend Victor Kusi-Boateng, Secretary of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, regarding the possession of two passports with different names. The allegations, first raised by Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, claimed that Kusi-Boateng used the name “Kwabena Adu Gyamfi” to hold multiple identities and engage in unlawful financial transactions.
However, CHRAJ’s investigation found no evidence of a second passport under the name “Kusi-Boateng.” The Commission confirmed that Rev. Kusi-Boateng holds only one passport issued under “Kwabena Adu Gyamfi,” disproving claims of dual identities.

The petition also alleged that GHยข2.6 million was transferred from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, a company allegedly owned by Kusi-Boateng under his alternate identity. However, CHRAJ concluded that these funds were used to pay contractors of the National Cathedral project during a period of financial instability. Rather than being part of a corrupt arrangement, the transfer was to settle debts owed to the contractors, thereby exonerating Kusi-Boateng from any wrongdoing.

This ruling clears Rev. Kusi-Boateng of any misconduct in connection with both the passport claims and the financial transactions. The outcome reinforces the importance of thorough investigations in maintaining transparency and integrity in public office.
