Popular Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, known as Mr P and one-half of the defunct P-Square duo, has denied allegations by his twin brother and former bandmate Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) that he stole his song. This follows Rudeboy’s recent accusation that Mr P and their former producer, Vampire, took his song titled “Winning,” which he claimed was intended for release on his upcoming album.
Responding to these accusations, Mr P clarified that the song “Winning” was co-written and composed by himself and artist Calypso60, making it impossible, he argued, for him to have stolen his own work. In an Instagram post, Mr P thanked producer Vampire for the support and noted that all involved, including Calypso60 and co-producer Goldswarm, were properly credited.
Mr P also urged his brother to allow him to create music without interference, referencing an open letter he wrote three months earlier. He encouraged fans to continue streaming “Winning” and to disregard any distractions, emphasizing positivity and love for his audience.
