King Promise Reflects on Artiste of the Year Victory at 2025 TGMAs
Newly crowned Artiste of the Year at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), King Promise, says he never once allowed negative thoughts to cloud his journey toward winning the most prestigious award in Ghanaian music.
In an interview on TV3’s New Day with Cookie Tee on May 12, 2025, the “Terminator” hitmaker confidently shared that he believed in his win from the beginning.
“It’s 100% what I believed in. I said this earlier in an interview. I don’t put that kind of energy in the air,” he said.

Belief Over Doubt: King Promise’s Positive Mindset
King Promise explained that he didn’t allow the possibility of defeat to enter his thoughts during the awards buildup:
“Why put it in the air that if I don’t win? I don’t believe in the hearsay. It’s really how I felt—winning the AOTY.”
