Sammy Awuku Resigns as NLA Boss to Focus on Parliamentary Role
The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammy Awuku, has officially resigned from his position, effective January 13, 2025.
In a letter addressed to President John Dramani Mahama, Awuku cited his recent election as the Member of Parliament for Akuapem North as the primary reason for his departure. He explained that this new role requires his full attention and dedication.

Sammy Awukuโs tenure as NLA Director-General, which began in August 2021, saw significant strides in modernizing lottery operations and boosting revenue generation.
As he stepped down, Awuku called for the swift appointment of a new Director-General to ensure a smooth transition and continued progress at the NLA.
